Get ready for a magical, star-splattered afternoon with Sophie Stock Art! Painting a night sky is exciting enough - but add in flicking paint everywhere, and it's an absolute blast every single time!
We'll begin by building a night sky from scratch, layering colour across the page until it glows. Then comes the splatters. Using toothbrushes (yes, toothbrushes! Don't worry, they're new and only used for painting!) we will be flicking paint across the page to scatter stars everywhere. It's a little chaotic, of course! But it's also lots of fun, and really never gets old!
Finally comes the silhouettes - little ones can pop in ready-cut card shapes to bring their scene to life, while those up for more of a challenge might fancy drawing or painting their own from scratch.
There's no single "right" way to do this one - cut-outs or freehand, careful or wild - it's entirely up to the artist. Whether your little one is just starting out or ready to get stuck into something trickier, there's space here for both. Come along, get creative, and see where the night sky takes you.
Parents, feel free to stay and watch the magic happen, or nip off into Prestbury town centre for a bite to eat, or a spot of shopping. Either way, come back to a sky full of stars made by your very own mini-artist!

A gentle warning: things can get a little messy when creating art! Aprons are provided and we'll do our best to keep paint where it belongs, but it's worth dressing your mini-artist in something that won't mind a stray splash or two. :-)
