I am so excited to be running this one - it's a bit messy, a bit magical, and honestly one of my favourite techniques to share!
We'll start by scribbling away with oil pastels, building up colourful, patterned animals on the page - the wilder and more colourful, the better! Then comes the fun part: we paint over the top with vibrant inky paints, and like magic, the colours and patterns we just drew reveal themselves underneath.
It's playful, a little unpredictable, and something a bit different from your usual craft session. Younger artists can keep things simple and instinctive, while older kids can play with more detailed patterns and layering - so whatever age they are, there's plenty of room to make it their own. No pressure, no rules, just a joyful mess of colour and creatures. :-)
Parents are welcome to stay and enjoy the session, but don't have to - feel free to pop off and grab a bite from the Picturedrome's many food choices, or have a browse round Chestergate's shops and come back to see what your budding artist has created!
Please note, workshop spaces are very limited, to ensure that each mini artist gets all the time and space they need to feel fully involved and supported. π₯°
